White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced earlier this week that President Trump wants to revoke security clearances from former U.S. government officials.
They’ve politicized and in some cases monetized their public service. When you have the highest level of security clearance…when you have the nation’s secrets at hand, and you go out and make false [statements], the president feels that’s something to be very concerned with.
The White House released the list after Sen. Rand Paul tweeted,
Is John Brennan monetizing his security clearance? Is John Brennan making millions of dollars divulging secrets to the mainstream media with his attacks on @realDonaldTrump ?

The list of the former officials include:
- Former CIA Director John Brennan
- Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper
- Former FBI Director James Comey
- Former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe
- Former National Security Adviser Susan Rice
- Former National Security Agency Director Michael Hayden
Shockingly there was a name not on there, Hillary Clinton. Yea, that Hillary Clinton, the woman who moved classified information from the State Department to her private server. Her security clearance should have been removed a long time ago.
James Williamson, a retired US Army Special Forces Colonel stated,
There is more than ample evidence that Hillary Clinton committed, whether its gross negligence, or,as [former FBI Director James] Comey would like to say, extreme carelessness. Just from the documented evidence, there was enough to prosecute. If there’s evidence to prosecute, then there’s certainly grounds to pull somebody’s clearance.
Why would any of these officials think that they still have a right to security clearances once they no longer hold that position. Their credentials should have been confiscated as soon as they left that position.
