When Jeff Flake was making his way to the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Friday to announce his vote to confirm Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, he was cornered in an elevator by two women who were bullying him for intending to vote for Judge Kavanaugh.
Those women, Maria Gallagher and Ana Maria Archila, who are also claiming to be sexual assault victims, are professional, full-time, paid activists for the left leaning group Center for Popular Democracy (Archila is co-executive director), which is heavily funded by George Soros.
Soros provided CPD with
- $130,000 from the Foundation to Promote Open Society in 2014
- $1,164,500 in 2015
- $705,00 from the Open Society Policy Center in 2016
As soon as Jeff Flake caved and said he would only vote for Brett Kavanaugh if an investigation continued on the man for another week, those women were celebrating.
These two heroes, who confronted @JeffFlake this morning, just changed the course of the Kavanaugh process. We❤️you so much, @AnaMariaArchil2 and Maria Gallagher. #StopKavanaugh pic.twitter.com/Hd4gxLWcCE

These women are not heroes, they are liberal activists trying to stop the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh. Not only did they get past security, they blocked a senators-only elevator in the US Capitol and cornered and screamed at a Senator. Seems the media and liberals have convinced themselves that this in-your-face strategy works. Yet it doesn’t, it only makes the left look unhinged. Sooner or later someone will get hurt over their fake outrage.
Finally, it’s worth noting that it appears Senator Flake helped to stage the elevator scene. His aides who would protect him from such a confrontation were nowhere to be found, security was never called and was not present when normally it would be, and he stood there letting them say as much as they wanted, all for the camera.
